4 DOF Robotic Arm

Feb.2020 to April 2020, Designing and manufacturing my own 4-DOF Robotic arm for pick and place purposes.

​it's several rigid links connected together by 4 revolute joints driven by servo Motors controlled to move simultaneously, where its gripper can pick something from place into its working space to another place into its working space. 

I designed and manufactured it for pick and place purposes.


Main objective of this model is to present an analytical solution for kinematics of 4 DOF Manipulator.

​The Robot Specifications:

  • Payload : up to 500g

  • Working area : circle with 120 cm diameter

  • Material :  6-mm Finland Plywood

  • Cad software : Solidworks 

  • Electrical Cad software : Altium Designer 

  • Actuators : Metal Gear High Torque DC Servo Motors

  • Programming Software : Matlab
